What we collect

Quiz data: your answers (port, timing, nights, party type, children's age bands, style, destinations, cabin, budget band, features, optional notes) tied to an anonymous session ID. We do not ask for names, payment data, passport details, exact birth dates, or government IDs in the quiz.

Price watch: your email address, the matched pattern, travel window, cabin and budget preferences, frequency choice, consent timestamp, and the consent text version you accepted (current version: cruisepalm-price-watch-v1-2026-10-25).

Contact form: name, email, topic, and message — only what you send us. Analytics: anonymous usage events (quiz steps, result views, link clicks). We never send email addresses, free-text notes, or children's ages to analytics.

How we use it

To produce and save your match, send the confirmation and price-watch emails you opted into, respond to contact messages, measure which content helps travelers, and protect the service against abuse. We do not sell or rent email addresses, and we do not share personal data with third parties for their marketing.

Email rules

Price-watch email requires double opt-in: nothing recurring is sent until you click the confirmation link. Every email carries one-click unsubscribe, honored immediately, with a suppression record kept so an unsubscribed address is not re-added by accident.

Retention

Anonymous quiz sessions are deleted or irreversibly anonymized after 180 days. Active price-watch records are kept until you unsubscribe, plus the suppression record described above. Contact messages are kept as long as needed to handle the conversation and our business records.

Security and access

Quiz and subscription records are stored with access controls so visitors cannot read each other's sessions; email addresses are accessible only to authorized service roles. No method is perfect, but the data we hold is deliberately minimal.
